I’m Rein Kukk – the face behind the site

Hi & welcome once more to my site ScanDomain.net! I’m now 36 years of age, and I’ve spent nearly all of the second half of my life (wow, I’m getting old, haha) in the technology space, specifically working at several cybersecurity firms, from Nord Security to Malwarebytes. You can read on below to learn some more about who I am.

Quite a few years ago now, I graduated from the Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) where I studied at the Department of Computer Systems, with some specific subjects targeted at cybersecurity. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree, I started my first tenure at a smaller Estonian firm in this space, which was helping with basic cyber-protection training for different types of employees in the country.

I later obtained my masters, also at TalTech, and moved temporarily to Lithuania (Vilnius) to work for Nord Security. I spent a few years here, working primarily on the anti-virus and online protection systems, and I further improved my knowledge in this space. Just before the lockdown hit, I moved back to Tallinn and started my tenure at Malwarebytes. Here, I was focused again on the anti-virus program.

I hope that this basic information about qualifications builds (at least some) trust in the content I do my best to share with you here. I do my best to make posts several times weekly.

I speak Estonian, Lithuanian (C1) and English (C2), and I am ready to answer any potential questions you have for me. It feels good to connect to my blog’s readers on a personal level, so I don’t have an issue with answering any types of potential questions. Thanks for your understanding.
